Join ShoreWalkers for Walk Off The Turkey (WOTT) , today at 10:00AM, from Battery Park to the Little Red Light House.  The walk is about 12 miles and will take about 5 hours.  Bring lunch and water and join others for a snack at the end of the walk.  This is a Free event, which meets at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.  For details of the walk, directions and other information, click on the above link.



 The French Institute, Alliance Francaise is currently hosting an exhibition of the work of photographer, Lucien Clergue.  The exhibition is called Clergue In America and captures powerful images of the United States from New York to California.  The gallery is open today from 11:00AM-5:00PM.  It is also open Tuesdays -Fridays, 11:00AM-6:00PM. Admission is Free. The gallery is located at 22 East 60th Street, Manhattan, NY.  




Gallery Rivaa presents, Made In America, a solo exhibition, by Arline Jacoby, today from 11:00AM-5:00PM.  The exhibition focuses on american culture and memorabilia and features painting, sculpture and collage.   It will remain at Gallery Rivaa through 12/11/11.  The exhibition is Free.  Gallery hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00PM-9:00PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00AM-5:00PM.  Gallery Rivaa is located at 527 Main Street, Roosevelt Island, New York.  For directions and other information, click on the above link



The Merchant's House Museum will host, In The Spirit: Modern 
Photographers Chanel The 19th Century, today and every day
during regular operating hours, through 11/28/11.  19th century "Spirit Photographs" by Thomas Harris and the Burns Archive,  said to show evidence of the existence of spirits, will be on display.  Also on display, will be photographs by modern mediums, such as Sally Mann, John Dugdale, Hal Hirshorn and RA Friedman.  Admission to the Museum is $10.00 General and $5.00 for Students and Seniors.  Children under 12 are Free.  Guided Tours of the museum take place every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 2:00PM. Tours are Free With Admission.  A self guided tour of the Museum can also be taken.   The Museum is open Thursday-Monday, from 12:00PM-5:00PM.  It is Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  The Merchant's House Museum is located at,  29th East fourth Street, (between Lafayette Street and Bowery) Manhattan, NY

 Join ShoreWalkers on its Queens Waterfront Part 1 walk, today at 9:00AM.  Walk the Queens waterfront from Long Island City to Flushing.  This is approximately a 12 to 13 mile walk.  Bring lunch and water.  The walk is Free.  Meet at Vernon Boulevard and 50th Avenue, Queens, NY.  For directions and further information, click on the above link.

Bring your kids to learn about Fall And Winter Animals In Fort Tryon park: Children's Naturalist Program, today from 1:00PM-2:15PM, in the park.  Learn about which animals can be found in the park all winter and which ones are hibernating or migrating.  Educator, Julie Attaway, will discuss this and more in a way that is informative and entertaining to your children.  The event is Free and is appropriate for children, ages 4-7.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  This event takes place in the Heather Garden, at Cabrini Boulevard and Ft Washington Avenue, Manhattan, NY.  For directions and other information, click on the above link.
