The 9/11 Memorial,  will open today at 10:00AM, at the world trade center site.  The site will be open on weekdays, 10:00AM-8:00PM and weekends and holidays 9:00AM-8:00PM.  It is Free to visit the site, but a visitors pass must be reserved.  The entrance to the memorial is at Albany and Greenwich Streets, Manhattan, NY. The New York Public Library Of The Performing Arts, Presents a Free screening of the film, Beyond 911: Portraits Of Resilence, today at 12:00PM.  The New York Library Of The Performing Arts, is located at The Dorothy and Lewis B Cullman Center, at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, Manhattan, NY.


  The American Scottish Foundation, presents, A Concert For New York , today from 1:00PM-2:00PM, at the NYC police museum, at 100 Slip, Manhattan, NY.   The concert commemorates the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and is in association with, The New York Police Museum and The September Concert Foundation.   The Lothian & Borders Police Choir and The West Yorkshire Police Brass Band will be performing.  The performance is Free.  Click on the above link for more information.


The Flushing Library will host, In The Aftermath Of 9/11: A New York City Autograph Collectors Journey, tonight at 6:00PM.  Former C-Span and Columbia University Videographer, Michael Ragsdale, will present his collection of press releases. program cards, brochures and signatures of hundreds of participants in events pertaining to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.  The materials were acquired at over 220 NYC area events, addressing aftermath issues such as recovery, rebuilding, security and war.  This is a Free event.  The Flushing Library is located at, 41-17 Main Street, Flushing (Queens) NY.   




The opening reception for September 11-- Past, Present And Future, an art exhibit, featuring the work of New York based artists, from diverse backgrounds, will take place today from, 6:00PM-8:00PM, at The Grady Alexis Gallery.  The exhibit will be on display, Mondays-Thursdays 10:00AM-6:00PM, beginning today through 10/10/11.  Both the meet the artists reception and the ongoing exhibit can be attended Free of charge.  The Grady Alexis Gallery is at El Taller Latino Americano, located at 2710 Broadway, 3rd floor, Manhattan, NY.

                                                             
Pauline Jean Sings Oldies, But Goodies, tonight at  6:30PM, at the Rosedale Library.  Vocalist, Pauline Jean, will sing Jazz and Motown hits by such artists as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and Gladys Knight And The Pips.  The performance is Free.  The Rosedale Library is located at, 144-20 243rd Street, Rosedale, (Queens) NY.
