Barnes & Noble will Present author Joel Osteen, today at 12:30PM, at the fifth Avenue store, located at 555 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, NY.  His new book, Every Day A Friday: How To Be Happier 7 Days a Week,  will be available for purchase.  The event is Free.


Fencing continues today, at Bryant Park, from 1:00PM-2:00PM.  To participate, call 212-382-2255 to pre-register, or take a chance and come by.  This is a Free event.  No prior experience is needed and all equipment is provided.  The fencing takes place at the fifth Avenue Terrace, located at 41st Street, Manhattan, NY.


The Bellerose  Library Presents The MGM Hollywood Musical, featuring vocalist, Wendy Kimball and Keyboard Player, Mark Toback, today at 3:00PM.  Enjoy a musical journey, back in time to the days of the Hollywood musical.  Some musical moments will be recreated and some behind the scenes information about the making  of these films will be revealed.  This is a Free event.

The Gerald W Lynch Theater Of John Jay College will present a double bill of two different productions, tonight at 7:05PM.  There will be a performance of What Happened: The September 11th Testimony Project and/ We Were Kids:9/11 Stories.  What Happened: The September 11th Testimony Project  is based on interviews conducted by students at John Jay College, from 2001-2002.  It is written by professor, Amy Green and directed by professor, Michael Aman.  The play is performed and produced by John Jay Students.  We Were Kids is a play based on personal and community oral histories of the events of 9/11.  The play was written by John Jay students, who were children or teens in September 2001.  It is also produced and performed by John Jay students.  The performances are Free.  The Gerald W Lynch Theater at John Jay College is located at 899 10th Avenue, (between 58th and 59th Streets) Manhattan, NY.

Take a Night Walk With Chief Naturalist, Mike Feller, tonight from 7:30PM-9:30PM, at Inwood Park.  Bring the family and explore Manhattan's last natural forest.  Participants are advised to bring a flashlight.  This is a Free event.  Enter the park at Seaman Avenue and Isham Street, Manhattan, NY.
