Enjoy SaltWater Fishing with the Park Rangers, today from 10:00AM- 12:00PM, at The Franklin D Roosevelt Boardwalk and Beach.  This is a Free Event that families and children 8 years of age and older are welcome to participate in.  All equipment is provided.  Participation in a mandatory safety review is required. This Event takes place at the Ocean Breeze Pier, at  Seaview Avenue and Father Capodanno Boulevard ( At Franklin D Roosevelt Boardwalk and Beach), Staten Island, NY.


The Frick Collection offers Pay What You Wish Admission, today and Every Sunday- 11:00AM-1:00PM. The Museum is open from Tuesday- Saturday - 10:00AM-6:00PM and Sunday- 11:00AM - 5:00PM.  The Frick Collection is located at 1 East 70th Street, Manhattan, NY.


Go on the Riverdale-Fieldston Walk with Shorewalkers, today at 12:00PM, and enjoy an easy 3 mile, joint walk with the New York Hiking Club and The Outdoors Club.  There is a small charge of $3.00 for the walk. The walk meets at the Northeast Corner of Broadway and 207th Street, Manhattan, NY.


Come out to Astoria Park for Shore Fest, today from 1:00PM-7:00PM, along Shore Boulevard in Astoria Park. Enjoy the waterfront Promenade and the many activities that will be taking place all day.  This is a Free Event featuring entertainment, games, a pet parade, Educational activities and much more.  It Promises to be a fun filled day for the whole family.


Historic Richmond Town will host a Free Community Day today from 1:00PM-5:00PM, featuring various educational and fun activities.  There will be demonstrations of Blacksmithing, open hearth cooking and Spinning.  Old fashioned games will be played and guests can explore the interiors of buildings dating back to the 1690's through the1890's.  Historic Richmond Town is located at 441 Clarke Avenue, Staten Island, NY.

The Laughter In The Park Comedy Series continues today from 2:00PM-4:00PM, in Central Park. Enjoy Free stand up comedy from some of the funniest comedians around. Today The laughs will take place at Mineral Springs in Central Park.  Enter the park at Central Park West and West 67th or West 69th Street, Manhattan, NY.


Take a Discover Tour in Prospect Park guided by a naturalist and view birds and other wildlife.  This is a Free Event that takes place from 3:00PM-4:00PM and meets at the Audubon Center in Prospect Park. The Audubon Center, at the boathouse is located just inside the Lincoln Road/ Ocean Avenue entrance to the park, Brooklyn, NY.


Free Talk and book signing by Author, Carl Ballenas, of his book Images Of America:Jamaica, today from 3:00PM-4:30PM, at the King Manor Museum. The book explores over 350 years of the history of Jamaica Queens. It includes the many historical figures such as George Washington, Walt Whitman, Susan B Anthony, Rufus King and Jacob Riis who have left their mark on the area. Books will be Available For Purchase.




Summerstage Presents musical performers, Friendly Fires, The Naked And Famous, and Cults, today at 3:00PM, at the Central Park Mainstage.  Friendly Fires is described as an Electronic Rock Band, with an intuitive grasp of kinetic art-funk.  The Naked And Famous are described as melodic pop with an 80's post punk influence.  Cult is a male/female duo consisting of Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin, playing music described as danceable garage rock.  The concert is Free.  The Central Park Mainastage is located at Rumsey Playfield, at 5th Avenue and 72nd Street, Manhattan, NY.

Hudson Warehouse will give a Free Performance of the William Shakespeare Play, The Taming Of The Shrew, tonight from 6:30PM-8:30PM.  The Performance will take Place at the north patio of Soldiers & Sailors Monument, at 89th Street and Riverside Drive, Manhattan, NY.  


Hudson River Park Presents MoonDance, featuring the George Gee Swing Orchestra, tonight at 6:30PM, at Pier 84. Dance under the stars for Free.  Dance Lessons which are also Free begin at 6:30PM.  Live Bands begin at 7:00PM.  Pier 84 is located at West 44th Street and 12th Avenue, Manhattan, NY.


Summer On The Hudson at Riverside Park will host the musical group, Galeet Dardashti and Divahn, tonight at 7:00PM at Pier I of Riverside Park.  The music of this all female group is described as diverse and bridging Middle Eastern cultures.  There are songs in Hebrew, Judeo-Spanish, Persian, Arabic and Aramaic.  The Concert is Free.  Pier I is located at Riverside Boulevard and West 70th Street, Manhattan, NY.


The Hip To Hip Theater Company will give a Free performance of the William Shakespeare Play, Much Ado About Nothing, tonight at 7:00PM, at the George Seuffert Bandshell, in Forest Park.  The George Seuffert Bandshell is located at Woodhaven Boulevard and Forest park Drive, Queens, NY. 


Summerstage Presents, "Tunde's Trumpet", by Chisa Hutchinson, tonight at 8:00PM, at Marcus Garvey Park.  This Free Musical Production, celebrates the magical effect of music on the life of a young boy.  It is a high energy show that features hand-crafted puppets and a great soundtrack.  Marcus Garvey park is located on Madison Avenue from East 120th to East 124th Streets, Manhattan, NY


The Movie Night Series At The Habana Outpost, continues tonight with a Free screening of the film, Heathers.  The film is scheduled to begin at 8:00PM.  Habana Outpost serves traditional Mexican and Cuban Cuisine which can be enjoyed while watching the film.  Habana Outpost is located at 757 Fulton Street ( at the corner of Fulton and South Portland) Brooklyn, NY.
