Bring your dogs to the Prospect Park Coffee Bark, today and the First Saturday Of Every Month (Except for Holidays)  Information will be provided to dog owners, pertaining to off the leash activities and issues.  Free Goodies will be provided to Pets and their owners. This Event is Free and meets from 7:00AM-9:00AM, in the meadow beside the picnic house in Prospect Park.  Enter the park at 3rd Street and Prospect park west, Brooklyn, NY. The Event takes Place Rain or Shine.


Central Park is hosting a Central Park Bagel Bark today, from 7:00AM-9:00AM.  Bring your dog and join fellow dog owners during off leash hours.  Munch on bagels, pastries and coffee.  This is a Free Event which takes place at the East Meadow in Central park.  Enter Central Park at 5th Avenue near 99th Street.  The Event takes place, weather permitting.


Go on a guided Bird walk In Van Cortlandt Park with urban park rangers or experts from the NYC Audubon, today at 8:00AM.  Beginners are welcome. Bring binoculars if you have them. This is a Free Event which meets at the Van Cortlandt Nature Center, at 246th Street and Broadway, Bronx, NY.


The Salt Marsh Center in Marine Park, is also offering guided Birding With The Park Rangers, today at 8:00AM.  This is a Free Event.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Otherwise you may be able to borrow a pair by asking a park ranger.  The Salt Marsh Center in Marine Park is located at East 33rd Street and Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY.


Go on the Exploring Hallettt And The Pond tour, at Central Park at 10:00AM, for a one hour Free tour of this woodland area.  Learn about the history of the area and enjoy its peacefulness.  Meet at 6th Avenue and Central park south, at the Jose Marti statue in Central Park, Manhattan, NY


Come to Coney Island for the 21st Annual Sand Sculpting Contest And Unity Day, today from 12:00PM-5:00PM, on the beach and boardwalk of Coney Island.  There will be Cash Prizes given out for the best sand sculptures by children and/or adults.  In addition, there will be entertainment on the boardwalk throughout the day.  this is a Free event, taking place from West 10th to West 12th Streets, (beach and boardwalk) in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY.


East River Park  will Present a Free Concert tonight at 4:00PM, featuring the Royal British Legion Brass Band, now on their 2011 American tour.  The band will perform a variety of different types of music including music from Stage and Screen, Big Band Era Music, Jazz and Patriotic Themes.  A number of talented soloists will be featured.  East River Park is located at Montgomery Street to East 12th Street and FDR Drive in Manhattan.  The Concert is at the East River Park Bandshell.



The King Manor Museum will host, Three Kings but Not Three Of a Kind: The Wisdom And Madness Of  Rufus, William and Cyrus King, a lecture by Joshua Smith, PH.D.  The Lecture will compare the lives and political attitudes of the King brothers and their influence regarding such issues as Slavery, States rights and Westward expansion of the early American Republic.  The Lecture is Free and will take place tonight at 5:00PM.  There will be Refreshments served after the lecture with a Suggested $5.00 Donation.  The King manor is located in Rufus King Park, at Jamaica Avenue and 89th Avenue, between 150th Street and 153rd Street, Jamaica (Queens), NY.


The Brooklyn Cyclones Vs The Staten Island Yankees, tonight at 6:00PM. at MCU Park located at 1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. There will be fireworks after the game.  Ticket Prices Vary.


Hudson Warehouse Presents the play, The Taming Of The Shrew, tonight from 6:30PM-8:30PM, in Riverside Park.  This is a Free Event and takes place on the north patio of the Soldiers & Sailors monument, at 89th Street and Riverside Drive, Manhattan, NY.

Summerstage will Present, A Tribute To The Works Of Shel Silverstein, Produced By Hal Wilner, tonight at 7:00PM, at the Central Park/Mainstage.  A variety of musicians and celebrity guests will perform unique interpretations of the poetry and songs of Shel Silverstein.  The performance is Free.  The Central Park Mainstage is located at Rumsey Playground.  Enter the park at 69th Street and 5th Avenue or 72nd Street and Central Park west, Manhattan, NY.


The New York Mets Vs The Atlanta Braves, tonight at 7:10PM, at Citi Field, located at 123-01 roosevelt Avenue, Flushing, NY.  A Sports bag Presented by Delta Airlines will be given to the first 25,000 fans.  Ticket Prices Vary.


Summerstage will Present "Henry V", By William Shakespeare, tonight at 8.00PM, in Marcus Garvey Park.  This Free Production will be performed by The Classical Theater Of Harlem.  Marcus Garvey park is located at Madison Avenue, between East 120th to East 124th Streets, Manhattam, NY


Celebrate Brooklyn will host a performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, tonight at 8:00PM.  The Performance of Ailey II Revelations, described as Alvin Ailey's signature work, is being revived in a special 50th anniversary celebration.  The performance is Free and takes place at the Prospect park bandshell, located at Prospect Park west and 9th Street, brooklyn, NY.


The Outdoor Summer Movie Series on Roosevelt Island will Present a Free screening, tonight of the film, Up.  The event is
