The 85th Annual Feast Of San Gennaro begins today, in Little Italy and continues through 9/25/11.  The hours of the feast are from 11:30AM-11:00PM.  The feast will take place along Mulberry Street, between Canal and Hudson Streets.  From east to west, the festival take place on Grand Street, between Mott and Baxter Streets and Hester Street, between Mott and Baxter Streets.  The Feast is Free to attend.  It will feature entertainment, food, religious events, processions, parades, various vendors and more.  Today from 2:00PM-3:00PM, the 10th annual Cannoli Eating Competition will take place, at the northwest corner of Grand and Mott Streets.  From 6:00PM-7:00PM, the Blessing Of The Stands will take place.  Parish Priests from Most Precious Blood Church will walk along the feast, blessing all the restaurants, cafes, vendors, shops Etc, so that they will have a successful feast.  From 7:00PM-9:00PM, there will be performances by Johnny Mandolin and friends with Debby Broadway and Jorge Buccio.  Also, Mike Sergio will Perform a Frank Sinatra Tribute.

The Kew Gardens Library will host New York In The 1960s: Pop Art Minimalism And Beyond-MOMA@ Kew Gardens Hills, today at 1:30PM.  Lecturer, Larissa Bailiff will discuss how artists of the 1960's adopted radically new approaches to their work and changed the face of the art world.  Works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd and Eva Hesse will be explored.  This is a Free event.  The Kew Gardens Library is located at 72-33 Vleigh Place, Flushing, NY.


Summer On The Hudson At Riverside Park, Presents, Human Chess, today from 3:00PM-5:00PM.  Navigate the chess board from inside, as Chess becomes a team sport.  This is a Free event.  All levels of ability are welcome.  Meet at the West 89th Street, Soldiers and Sailors monument at 89th Street and Riverside Drive, Manhattan, NY.

Come to the New York Library Of The Performing Arts for, Rebel Rebel Anti-Style, Presented In Celebration Of Fashion Week At Lincoln Center, tonight at 6:00PM, with lecturer, Keanan Duffy.  The lecture is described as an insiders guide with images of such iconic rebels as Agyness Deyne, Amy Winehouse, Keith Richards, Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Marlon Brando and Kate Moss.  The event is Free.  The New York Public Library For The Performing Arts is located at the Dorothy and Lewis B Cullman Center, at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, Manhattan, NY.`

City Tech And Willie Perdomo Present Picnic & Poetry On The Plaza: An Evening Of Spoken Word, tonight at 6:30PM, at the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza, Brooklyn NY.  This is a Free event.  Acclaimed poet, Willie Perdomo will read from his work and City Tech Students will Perform.


Westerleigh Park will Present The Big Band Music Concert with B312 Orchestra, tonight from 7:00PM-9:00PM.  The members of the orchestra, range in age from 15- 89.  The orchestra performs music from the 40's and 50's, featuring the music of such artists as Benny Goodman and Arty Shaw.  The performance is Free.  Bring a chair.  Westerleigh Park is located at Williard, Springfield, Maine and Neal Dow Avenues in Staten Island, NY.
