Meet Santa At The Marsh, today from 11:00AM-2:00PM, during Santa's annual visit to the Salt Marsh Nature Center. The event is Free and children can pose for a Free picture. The Salt Marsh Nature Center is located at 3302 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY.
Pink Olive in Park Slope will be hosting a Children's Holiday Book Drive, today from 11:00AM-3:00PM. Children are invited to bring or purchase a new book to donate to a needy child. Milk and cookies will be served and there will be readings by children's book authors. The event is Free to attend but a donation is requested. Space is limited. Click on above link and RSVP. Christmas In Richmondtown, takes place today from 10:00AM-5:00PM. Enjoy the holiday music of Christmas Carolers, and the Bell Choir, tour the village, watch as ornaments are made by the tinsmith and more. There will also be story telling and photos with Santa, as well as home baked goods and gift items for sale at the Courthouse. The event will culminate in the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:00PM. The Holiday Lighting in Central Park takes place today from 4:00PM-5:30PM, at the Charles A Dana Discovery Center. There will be holiday craft making, refreshments, photos with Santa, (bring your own camera) a four foot ice sculpture and a 12 foot floating Christmas Tree on the Harlem Meer. There will also be Caroling by Tommy Coil as well as an acapella group from Columbia University called the Metrotones. The event is Free.
