Meet Santa At The Marsh, today from 11:00AM-2:00PM, during Santa's annual visit to the Salt Marsh Nature Center.  The event is Free and children can pose for a Free picture.  The Salt Marsh Nature Center is located at 3302 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY.


Pink Olive in Park Slope will be hosting a Children's Holiday Book Drive, today from 11:00AM-3:00PM.  Children are invited to bring or purchase a new book to donate to a needy child.  Milk and cookies will be served and there will be readings by children's book authors.  The event is Free to attend but a donation is requested.  Space is limited.  Click on above link and RSVP.  Pink Olive is located at 167 Fifth Avenue, (between Lincoln and Berkley Pl) Brooklyn, NY.

Enjoy St Nicholas Day, at the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum, today from 12:00PM-4:00PM.  Hear a colonial music concert and taste seasonal treats such as mulled cider and ginger cookies.  Make holiday crafts while awaiting the arrival on horseback of St Nicholas and Black Piet.  They will be bringing a bag of treats and will have a story to read.  Admission is $5.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Students and Seniors and Free for Children 10 and under.  The Wyckoff farmhouse Museum is located in M Fidler-Wyckoff House park, at 5816 Clarendon Road, Brooklyn, NY.


The Alice Austen House is hosting an Arts & Crafts Fair, today and sunday from 12:00PM-5:00PM.  The fair will feature unique vendors and hand-made gifts by artists and crafts people will be available for purchase.  Today there will be wine tasting available at the fair as well.   Admission to the fair is Free. Learn about Astronomy at the Salt Marsh Nature Center tonight at 5:00PM.  View the night sky.  Locate and observe the various stars, planets, constellations Etc.  All equipment, such as telescopes and binoculars are provided.  The event is Free.  The Salt Marsh Center is located at 3302 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY.


The Brooklyn Aviators Vs 1000 Islands Privateers, tonight at 7:35PM, at the arena, located at the Aviator Sports Center, at 3159 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.  Brooklyn Aviators water Bottles will be given out to fans.  Ticket Prices are $12.00 for Adults, $10.00 for children age 14 and under, Senior Citizens and Active Military.  There are also package deals available.

 Christmas In Richmondtown,  takes place today from 10:00AM-5:00PM.  Enjoy the holiday music of Christmas Carolers, and the Bell Choir, tour the village, watch as ornaments are made by the tinsmith and more.  There will also be story telling and photos with Santa, as well as home baked goods and gift items for sale at the Courthouse.  The event will culminate in the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:00PM.  Admission to the courtroom is $2.00.   Horse and Wagon Rides are also available for $2.00.   All other activities are Free.   Historic Richmond Town is located at 441 Clarke Avenue, Staten Island, NY.

St Raphael School will host Sunday With Santa And Christmas Boutique, today from 12:00PM-5:00PM, in the St Raphael Auditorium.  The event will feature kids crafts and games, face painting, tattoos, refreshments, photos with Santa, holiday music raffles and more.  Admission is Free but there will be items available for purchase.  St Raphael School is located at 48-25 37th Street, LIC, (Queens) N.Y.

The Czech Center will host a Saint Nicholas Day Party, today from 3:00PM-5:00PM, featuring carol singing, films and refreshments.  In keeping with the tradition of Saint Nicholas Day,  ( which takes place on 12/5/11) Saint Nicholas as well as the devil and an angel will make an appearance.  Click on the above link for an in depth explanation of the tradition.  The suggested donation for admission is $5.00.  The Czech Center is located at 321 East 73rd Street, Manhattan, NY.

The Holiday Lighting in Central Park takes place today from 4:00PM-5:30PM, at the Charles A Dana Discovery Center.  There will be holiday craft making, refreshments, photos with Santa, (bring your own camera) a four foot ice sculpture and a 12 foot floating Christmas Tree on the Harlem Meer.  There will also be Caroling by Tommy Coil as well as an acapella group  from Columbia University called the Metrotones.  The event is Free.  The Charles A Dana Discovery Center is located inside the park at 110th Street, between Lenox and Fifth Avenues, Manhattan, NY.
