 The third Annual Washington Heights Children And Young People's Film Festival, continues today with film screenings from 11:00AM-7:00PM.  Click on the above link, for the schedule.  The film festival is Free for Children and Families.  The films will be shown at Coliseum Cinemas, at 701 West 181st Street, (Broadway) Manhattan, NY

Enjoy Forgotten Musicals at the New York Library Of The Performing Arts, tonight at 6:00PM.  Cabaret Artist, Steve Ross and friends will be performing music from the library's musical theater collections of "unsung treasure".  The Performance is Free.  It will take place at the Dorothy and Lewis B Cullman Center, of the library, at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, Manhattan, NY.


The North Forest Park Library will Present, A Tribute To The Music Of Duke Ellington: The Legacy Of A Creative Genius, featuring the Jeff Kruh Jazz Ensemble, tonight at 6:00PM.  Enjoy an evening of Duke Ellington music performed by highly accomplished Jazz musicians, Jeff Kruh, Ron Schwerin and Al Cardillo.  The evening will include some of Duke Ellington's best known compositions such as "Sophisticated Lady" and "Caravan".  The Performance is Free.  The North Forest Park Library is located at 98-27 Metropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, (Queens) NY.


Author Lyn Di Iorio will read from her debut novel, Outside The Bones, tonight at 7:00PM, at  Barnes and Noble.  The event is Free and takes place at the store, located at 2889 Broadway, (at 82nd Street) Manhattan, NY.  For more information about the book or the event, click on the above link.


Meet The Photographer: Steve Winter, tonight at 8:00PM, at the Apple Store.  The award-winning, National Geographic Magazine photographer, will give the audience a guided tour of his work.  The event is Free.  It takes place at the store located at 1981 Broadway, Manhattan, NY.

Explore Hallett & The Pond, today from 12:30PM-1:30PM, in Central Park.   Learn the history of the park's smallest woodland area and enjoy its scenic beauty.  The tour is Free but space is limited in the Hallett Nature Sanctuary, so arrive early.  Only the first 20 people to sign up will be able to participate in the tour.  The tour is not recommended for people with disabilities, due to hilly areas and other obstacles.  The tour meets in front of the Jose Marti statue, at 6th avenue and Central park South, Manhattan, NY.


Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, of the television show, Jersey Shore and author of the book, Confessions Of A Guidette, will make a live appearance, today at 3:00PM, at Barnes & Noble.  The event is Free and takes place at the store located at, 555 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, NY.


The Trusty Sidekick Theater Company Presents, Halloween In The house, today from 4:00PM-6:00PM, at the Old Stone House.  The Pre Halloween event for families will feature music, stories, crafts and other activities.  There is a Suggested donation of $5.00 a Person.  This event will be followed by the Old Stone House party, also hosted by Trusty Sidekick, from 7:00PM-10:00PM.  This event will feature live music and an open bar.  The event is a benefit for The Trusty Sidekick Theater company and tickets are $20.00.  The Old Stone House is located in Washington Park, at the JJ Byrne Playground, at 5th Avenue and 3rd Street, Brooklyn, NY.


Meet The Authors: Bryan And Michael Voltaggio :Volt Inc:Recipes, Stories, Brothers, tonight from 7:00PM-8:00PM, at the Apple Store.  The chefs, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, of the Bravo television show, Top Chef discuss their cookbook and the creative process that inspired it.  The event is Free and takes place at the store located at 1981 Broadway, Manhattan, NY.


The apple store will host Caught In The Action With Photographer James Farrell, tonight from 7:00PM-8:00PM, at the Fifth Avenue store.  Commercial and action photographer, James Farrell will talk about capturing great action photos, share his stories and some photographic techniques.  The event is Free and takes place at the store, located at 767 5th Avenue, Manhattan, NY.
