The Brooklyn Book Festival takes Place today from 10:00AM-6:00PM, in Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza, at 209 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, NY.  Senator Joseph Lieberman will be at the festival as well as many acclaimed writers.  There will be numerous events that include, book discussions, readings of literary work and lectures.  All events are Free but require tickets.  Tickets will be distributed an hour prior to the event, at festival information booths on the plaza.  There will also be a children's area and for older children, a youth stoop.  In addition, there will be numerous book vendors.  For information on the various events, directions, or any other information, click the above link.


The 85th Annual Feast Of San Gennaro conntinues today, from 11:30AM-11:00PM, along Mulberry Street, between Hudson and Canal Streets, and along Grand and Hester Streets, between Mott and Baxter Streets, Manhattan, NY.   Today, in conjunction with the feast, the American Red Cross will be at St Patrick's Basilica Youth Center, at 268 Mulberry Street, (between Houston and Prince Streets) Manhattan, NY, for a blood drive.   The Red Cross will be there between the hours of 10:00AM-4:00PM.   Anyone interested, can click on the above link, go to event schedules and get the telephone number to call the red cross, or click on their link to schedule a donation time.   There will be refreshments and giveaways all day.  From 2:00PM-3:00PM, Singer, Sal Manzo will be performing.  From 7:00PM-9:30PM, Gianni Russo and Band will Perform.  It is Free to attend the feast.


The Queens County Farm Museums 29th Annual Queens County Fair, continues today from, 11:00AM-6:00PM. The fair will feature, a  midway, carnival rides, food Vendors, a medieval exhibit, live music, Big Apple Circus Acts, Pig races, Pony rides, Hay rides, and more.  Admission to the fair is $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children.  The Queens County Farm is located at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, NY.


The Flatbush Frolic will take place today from 11:00AM-6:00PM, along Cortelyou Road between Ocean and Coney Island Avenues, Brooklyn, NY.  There will be live bands, food, games, arts and crafts, vendors and more.  The event is Free to attend.. 


The Holy Cross Greek Cultural Festival, continues today from 12:00PM-7:00PM.  The festival features music, dancing, food, rides, games, a flea market, vendors and more.  It is Free to attend.


Bryant Park will host The Vital Theater Company, today from 1:00PM-2:00PM, at the Fountain Terrace, in Bryant Park.  Enjoy songs from two of the Vital Theater company's most popular shows, Pinkalicious and Uncle Pirate.  This is a Free event.  Bryant Park is located between 5th and 6th Avenues, from 40th to 42nd Streets, Manhattan, NY.


Take the kids on a Scavenger Hunt with the Urban Park Rangers, today at 2:00PM, in Brookville Park, at Brookville Boulevard and 144th Avenue, Queens, NY.  This is a Free event. 


The Washington Square Park Folk Festival, continues today at 2:00PM, at washington Square Park, located at 5th Avenue, Waverly Place, West 4th and MacDougal Streets, Manhattan, NY.  The performances are Free.  Click on the above link to view the schedule of performers, and other information.


Enjoy the Overlook Concert: Brass Quintet, Of The Manhattan School Of Music, today from 2:00PM-3:00PM, on the 116th Street Overlook ( on the middle level) of Riverside park.  The event is Free.  For more information, click on the above link.


Ballet Hispanico will perform tonight from, 6:00-7:30PM, on the lawn of Bryant Park. The Performance is Free.  Bryant Park is located between 5th and 6th Avenues, from 40th to 42nd Streets, manhattan, NY.


Brooklyn Bridge will host a screening of, Home, A Film By Yann Arthus-Bertrand: Presented by Beautiful Earth Group, tonight at 7:00PM, on the Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn.  The documentary, exploring the beauty and fragility of the earth, will be introduced by the director.  It will be followed by a Q&A.  The event is Free.  Pier 1 of Brooklyn Bridge Park is located at Old Fulton and Furman Streets, Brooklyn, NY.
